Pastor Dr. Mildred Wimberly is the daughter of former Pastor Jeanette Rogers and the late Rich Wimberly. She is the mother of two children, the grandmother of three grandchildren, and the great grandmother of one. She was born in Mitchell County and completed high school at Camilla Consolidated High School in 1967. Dr. Wimberly graduated from Albany State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1971, a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University in 1979, and an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy of Education from Chapel Christian University in 2003.

Dr. Wimberly pastored Smithville Holiness and Camilla Holiness congregations at Evangelical Faith Vision Ministries in Albany, Georgia, for sixteen years under the leadership of the late Apostle Isaiah Revills. She was president of the Singles Ministry and Director of the Hospitality Committee, as well as a choir member and other leadership positions. Since 2004, she has been the founder and pastor of Higher Heights Fellowship Ministries, Inc., and was crucial in the purchase of more than six acres of land for the construction of our church headquarters.

Dr. Wimberly is a former public school teacher with over thirty years of experience. She was named to “Who’s Who Among American Teachers” and received a number of other honors. Dr. Wimberly is the President of Mildred’s Beginner Resources, Inc. and the former owner of Mildred’s Kare Bears Developmental Learning Center. She’s also the author and publisher of The #1 Handbook for New Christians, Beginners Learn to Read, Southern Cookin’, and Higher Heights Yearbook. She has created several reading, mathematic, and bible games and has written several Christian tracts, poems, songs, and plays.
